Episode 27 – 👗👜The Paw-ris Fashion Show!👠🥻

 

Do you like my new bow?

As Pipps got a bit older we could play together more. She was really into her dolls and dressing up. She would set up all her toys and dolls and help style their hair, apply makeup (usually using felt tip pen!) or dress then up in all sorts of wonderful combinations.

I would play next to Pipps as I always liked to be near one of the family. She would play with me as if I were her sister which I really loved. Sometimes her dressing up games needed an added extra. If only there was someone who could dress up with Pipps and parade around the house showing off their new styles in a weird form of Paris (Paw-ris) fashion show!

Pipps looked around for more dolls or teddy bears to decorate but had pretty much used them all up. She was scouring the room for extra participants when suddenly there was a light bulb moment. She starred at me…………Oh NoooooooooooooooW!

Anyone for a Swim?

Too late, before I knew it I had been seconded into the fashion parade and dressed up and made to wear fancy dress costume. I didn’t mind really, it was a lot of fun and I got to spend loads of quality time with Pipps. The rest of the family would get a giggle out of some of my latest fashion which was really funny.

Some of the highlights were dressed for swimming with my swimming goggles on, walking around like a Disney princess and wearing various hair grips and bows in my hair.

I would soon get sick of these and as quick as they were put on me, they were shaken off! I particularly liked my Christmas outfits as this was one of my favourite times of the year. I’ll leave that for another story.

Outside of Pipp’s fashion I did have a large number of clothes myself with a range of knitted jumpers hand made by Nanna’s neighbour, seasonal dress such as my Halloween jumper and Christmas jumper and also a collection of coats for warmth and to keep the rain off when I was out for a walk. I really loved wearing the jumpers just after I had been to the hairdressers as I really felt the cold when half my fur had been chopped off!

Anyway, off to choose a new jumper and parade around like the Shih Tzu royalty I am!

Episode 15 – 🥽Anyone for a swim!💦

Me chilling in the summer sun I love the summer: Long, hot days (not too hot as my fur coat keeps me rather warm) long plays in the garden, trips to the beach, rides in the car and generally having great fun with my family. During these summer days I would play in the garden with Dad, RJ and now H as he is a little older. My favourite games are playing with long dog although he does get covered in grass after playing outside, and small squidgy balls (just the right size to fit in my mouth). Dad did try me with a tennis ball as I saw a lot of other dogs playing with these on the beach. There was a device that this ball fixed into and then this was flicked in a fast semi-circular motion which launched the tennis ball for what seemed to be miles. The other larger dogs on the beach loved this. Unfortunately for my delicately small mouth, the tennis ball was far too big for me and so this toy was a non-starter. Episode 4 – Life’s a Beach

Mum and dad took me to the beach today. This was the first time I have seen the sea. The spot we went to was about 30 minutes’ drive from our house. Mum tells me that this was the favourite place for Millie and so I’m so excited to see this as if Millie likes this place, it must be good. We parked the car and walked along a sea front promenade for a while and then dad took me down a set on concrete stairs onto the beach. Wow I love it! The feeling of the sand in my paws was tickly but nice and the side of the beach nearest to the walkway was full of stones and pebbles – my favourite toys. Dad kept me on the extended lead for a while as there were other dogs the beach then we found a location where we had the beach to ourselves, and he let me off the lead. I ran and ran and ran….and ran some more. Dad chased me and I chased dad, he threw pebbles for me to fetch and it was the first of what became many special moments on that beach.
