Episode 25 – ๐Ÿ’‚‍♂️On Guard!๐Ÿ˜

Wait, was that the postman? In an ideal world everyone would get along and there would be no anger or hate. In reality there are people who are not so nice and have an evil streak. As a Shih Tzu, I am a pretty good judge of character and will do anything to protect myself and my family. There are occasions where I, a very chilled and easy-going dog, lose my cool and defend at all costs. One of the main offenders is our postman. Each day they come up or path and to the front door and even worse, push stuff through our letterbox! How rude! After a few times of observing this, that was enough. Each morning, I would base myself in a strategic position next to the window ledge waiting for them to come. Then red alert here they were and off into “killer mode” I would go.  “Bark, Bark, Bark Bark………..n-times Bark” I would jump up and show my teeth, a lovely set though I say so myself, and give them the meanest look possible. After the postman left there would be a massive splodge of dog sa...

Episode 24 - ๐Ÿ›๐ŸชฎBath Time – Ahhhhhhhh ๐Ÿชฎ๐Ÿ›

Bath Time - Not Impressed! I am a dog of great natural beauty (even though I say so myself!) and have of course used my cute looks to my advantage on many occasions. I feel that these looks are natural and don’t need further enhancement. Unfortunately, Mum and Dad have different thoughts on the matter. After coming home from walks out in the Autumn and Winter as well as when I may have been caught digging through the flower bed (allegedly – no substantial evidence to corroborate this accusation…..well, maybe a little!) it was decided that I needed more beauty support in the form of a bath. If you are familiar with a dog in your family, you will understand that dogs and baths have an arrangement: they don’t go near the bath and the bath does not go near them! After going low profile and being chased around the house several times I was caught and it was time for the bath. Dad had originally used dog shampoo for me, but this stuff smelled horrible and I hated it. Therefore, the...

Episode 23 – ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ•Food Glorious Food๐Ÿง๐Ÿ—

Sitting at the table waiting for my dinner - LOL! As a Shih Tzu we have a very delicate palate. We should be fed a balanced diet of healthy dog food with a mixer supplement containing all the daily vitamins and minerals I need for a full and healthy life………..Rubbish! I’m not sure who came up with this, but it definitely was not a Shih Tzu! We are a refined breed and need the quality things in life. If it’s good enough for Mum and Dad, it’s good enough for me! When I was a little puppy, just off my baby milk, I loved to eat mixed tripe. This is a mixture of all the bits of an animal that no-one else wants to eat, but as a pup I loved it. Mum and Dad had to travel often to the local pet store: dad called it “Pets are expensive” to get this particular type of food. As I became more comfortable with my new family, I noticed that they were not eating the same food as me – how strange! It was not long before I realised that there was a whole new world of tasty delights out there (not necessa...

Episode 22 – ๐Ÿ‘ Hitch hiker ๐Ÿš™

I think that I might be in a bit of trouble! Mum and Dad both worked full time. They would travel to work in their cars every weekday. Once a week, dad would take me to Gran’s house for me to stay with her for company and to give rest bite from Nanna who looked after me when Mum and Dad were working. Dad had a car seat in the back of his car for H and Pips. I liked to sit on this seat when they were not using this as it allowed me to sit higher in the car and look out of the window more which I loved. As a family we would go on many wonderful adventures in the car. I liked trips to the seaside but really, I just loved being out and about with the family. If I wasn’t in the back seat my favourite place was towards the front sitting between the two front seats on the central armrest near to the gear lever. Dad had taken me when I was really young to see mum at her work which was great fun despite being a little scared by the car ride. But often wondered what my dad’s work was lik...
